Archiving Policy

Archiving Policy

This policy concerns the journal-managed archive of published articles and associated records. It is distinct from author self-archiving and from independent long-term digital preservation.

1. ARCHIVE CONTENT

Athena maintains its published issues and article records through the journal platform. The archive should retain full-text publication files, article metadata, published supplementary materials, and associated editorial notices.

Public archive access follows Access Policy. Unpublished submissions, private reviews, and administrative records are not part of the public publication archive.

2. MAINTENANCE AND RECOVERY

The publisher coordinates archive maintenance, checks for missing or damaged files, and maintains recoverable copies of the publication files and metadata under its operational arrangements. Recovery procedures should be checked periodically.

Operational backups support recovery from technical failure. They do not, by themselves, establish independent preservation or public access after the publisher ceases operating.

3. RECORD INTEGRITY

Archive maintenance must preserve the relationship between articles and their correction, concern, or retraction notices. Migration should retain identifiers, links, and publication history.

Scholarly Record Updates governs changes to published content. Digital Preservation explains continuity beyond the active platform. Repository / Preservation explains author deposit rights.

Archive Assistance: Report missing files or archive inconsistencies to athena@mediadigitalpublikasi.com, identifying the article or issue.
