Advisory Members

The advisory members of Athena: Journal of Social, Culture and Society provide collective advice on the journal’s scholarly direction, disciplinary coverage, and long-term development. The membership includes editorial leaders and members of the Editorial Board.

ADVISORY REMIT

  • Provide strategic advice on the journal’s scholarly development and disciplinary coverage.
  • Identify emerging research themes and opportunities for engagement with relevant scholarly communities.
  • Offer collective recommendations on long-term improvements to the journal’s academic development.
Scope of Authority: Advisory recommendations do not constitute manuscript decisions and do not override the authority of the assigned decision editor. Members who also hold editorial positions exercise editorial authority only through those positions and their specific assignments, as defined in Editorial Roles.
