Author Fees and Article Processing Charges

Athena: Journal of Social, Culture and Society does not charge authors any fees for manuscript submission, editorial processing, peer review, article processing, publication, or access to published articles.

The journal is committed to providing equitable opportunities for scholars to publish their research regardless of geographic location, institutional affiliation, or financial circumstances. There are no mandatory author charges from manuscript submission through publication.

Authors are not required to pay any fee when submitting a manuscript to Athena. Submission and initial editorial evaluation are completely free of charge.
2. ARTICLE PROCESSING CHARGE (APC)

Athena does not charge an Article Processing Charge (APC). Authors whose manuscripts are accepted for publication are not required to make any payment as a condition of publication.

4. FEE WAIVERS AND DISCOUNTS

Because Athena does not charge submission fees, Article Processing Charges (APCs), publication fees, or other mandatory author fees, fee waivers and discounts are not applicable. All authors receive the same zero-fee publication policy.

5. EDITORIAL INDEPENDENCE

Editorial decisions are independent of financial considerations. Manuscripts are evaluated according to their relevance to the journal's scope, scholarly quality, originality, methodological or theoretical soundness, research integrity, and the outcome of the journal's peer-review process.

No Payment for Acceptance

Athena does not require or request payment in exchange for manuscript acceptance, favorable peer-review outcomes, expedited editorial decisions, or guaranteed publication. Acceptance is based solely on the journal's editorial and peer-review criteria.
