FINANCIAL TRANSPARENCY & PUBLISHING SUSTAINABILITY

Revenue Sources

SAGA: Journal of Technology and Information Systems is owned and published by Media Digital Publikasi Indonesia .

The journal is committed to transparency regarding its revenue sources, publishing funding model, and the relationship between financial arrangements and editorial decision-making.

Financial arrangements must not compromise the integrity, impartiality, or independence of the journal's editorial decisions.

01   FINANCIAL TRANSPARENCY

SAGA recognizes financial transparency as an important component of responsible scholarly publishing.

The journal aims to provide clear and accessible information about the sources of financial support used to sustain its publishing operations.

This policy identifies the journal's disclosed revenue arrangements and explains the principles governing financial accountability.

Financial information should be presented accurately and updated when material changes occur.

02   REVENUE SOURCES

SAGA operates an open-access publishing model supported by author-side publication charges.

The journal's disclosed revenue source is:

  • Article Processing Charges (APCs): Publication fees applicable to accepted manuscripts, as specified in the journal's published APC Policy.

The applicable charges, payment conditions, and related author information are provided separately in the journal's Article Processing Charge (APC) Policy .

Any additional revenue source, financial support, or funding arrangement introduced in the future should be disclosed accurately where relevant to the journal's publishing operations.

03   PUBLICATION FUNDING MODEL

Revenue generated through the journal's publishing activities supports the operational requirements associated with scholarly publication.

Such requirements may include:

  • Journal website hosting and technical infrastructure;
  • Manuscript management and editorial administration;
  • Copyediting, formatting, and publication production;
  • Publication metadata administration and dissemination;
  • Maintenance and development of journal publishing services;
  • Operational activities supporting the continuity of the journal.

These categories describe publishing activities that may require financial resources. They do not represent an itemized allocation of individual author payments.

04   FINANCIAL AND EDITORIAL INDEPENDENCE

SAGA maintains a separation between financial arrangements and scholarly editorial judgment.

The payment of publication charges does not guarantee manuscript acceptance or favorable editorial treatment.

Editorial decisions must be based on scholarly merit, research quality, relevance, and compliance with the journal's editorial requirements.

Financial interests must not improperly influence manuscript evaluation, reviewer recommendations, or editorial decision-making.

The journal's detailed principles concerning editorial authority and independence are provided in the Editorial Governance and Independence policy.

05   FINANCIAL DISCLOSURE AND AUTHOR INFORMATION

SAGA seeks to ensure that authors can identify applicable publication charges before submitting their manuscripts.

Information about author-side publication charges is made available through the journal's official website.

The journal distinguishes charges associated with publication from access to published scholarly content.

Readers are not required to pay subscription or article-access fees to read published SAGA articles.

The journal's reader access arrangements are described in its Open Access Policy .

06   FINANCIAL ACCOUNTABILITY

Media Digital Publikasi Indonesia , as the owner and publisher of SAGA, holds institutional responsibility for the journal's publishing operations and associated financial administration.

The publisher is responsible for supporting appropriate financial administration and maintaining accurate public information concerning applicable publication charges and disclosed revenue sources.

Institutional ownership and management responsibilities are described separately in the journal's Ownership and Management policy.

07   POLICY REVIEW AND UPDATES

This Revenue Sources Policy may be reviewed and updated to reflect changes in the journal's funding arrangements, publishing operations, or applicable transparency requirements.

Material changes to the journal's revenue sources should be reflected in the publicly available policy information.

Changes affecting author-side publication charges should also be reflected in the corresponding APC Policy.

The journal seeks to maintain consistency between its financial disclosures and related publishing policies.
