Copyright and Licensing Policy

SAGA: Journal of Technology and Information Systems recognizes the authors as the copyright holders of their published works. Authors retain copyright and full publishing rights to their articles without transferring exclusive ownership to the journal or publisher.

Articles published in SAGA are made available under the Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike 4.0 International License (CC BY-SA 4.0).

1. Copyright

Copyright in each article published in SAGA: Journal of Technology and Information Systems remains with the author(s).

Authors retain their copyright and publishing rights without exclusive transfer to SAGA: Journal of Technology and Information Systems or CV. Media Digital Publikasi Indonesia.

By publishing an article in SAGA, the author(s) grant the journal and its publisher the right of first publication and a non-exclusive right to publish, reproduce, distribute, preserve, index, display, and disseminate the published work.

2. Author Rights

Because authors retain copyright, they may reuse, distribute, and make their published work available elsewhere in accordance with the applicable license and appropriate scholarly citation practices.

Authors may:

• Deposit the submitted, accepted, or published version of their article in an institutional or subject repository;

• Make the article available through a personal or institutional website;

• Include the article, or an appropriately acknowledged version of it, in a thesis, dissertation, book, or other scholarly work;

• Distribute copies for teaching, research, professional, or scholarly purposes; and

• Enter into separate non-exclusive arrangements concerning the distribution or reuse of the published work.

When the published work is reused or redistributed, authors should acknowledge that the article was first published in SAGA: Journal of Technology and Information Systems and provide the DOI or original publication link where available.

3. Creative Commons License

Unless otherwise indicated for specific third-party material, articles published in SAGA are licensed under the Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike 4.0 International License (CC BY-SA 4.0).

Under CC BY-SA 4.0, users are permitted to:

Share — copy and redistribute the material in any medium or format.

Adapt — remix, transform, and build upon the material for any purpose, including commercial purposes.

These permissions are subject to the following conditions:

Attribution — Appropriate credit must be given, a link to the license must be provided, and any changes made to the material must be indicated. Attribution must not suggest that the author, journal, or publisher endorses the user or the particular use of the material.

ShareAlike — If the material is remixed, transformed, or built upon, the resulting contribution must be distributed under the same license as the original material.

No Additional Restrictions — Users may not apply legal terms or technological measures that legally restrict others from exercising the rights permitted by the license.

4. Author Warranty

By submitting a manuscript to SAGA, the author(s) confirm that the work is original, has not previously been published in substantially the same form, and is not simultaneously under consideration by another publication, except where explicitly permitted under the journal's editorial policies.

The author(s) also confirm that the manuscript does not knowingly infringe the copyright, intellectual property, privacy, or other legal rights of third parties and that all necessary permissions have been obtained for copyrighted or restricted materials included in the manuscript.

Authors remain responsible for the originality, legal compliance, and appropriate attribution of materials contained in their work.

5. Multiple Authors

Where a manuscript has multiple authors, the submitting or corresponding author is responsible for ensuring that all co-authors have reviewed and approved the submission and are aware of the journal's copyright and licensing terms.

Authorship disputes or disagreements among contributors should normally be resolved by the authors and, where appropriate, their institutions. The journal may request clarification or supporting documentation when an authorship or rights dispute affects the integrity or legal status of a publication.

6. Third-Party Material

The CC BY-SA 4.0 license applies to the article as published unless particular figures, tables, images, datasets, excerpts, or other third-party materials are explicitly identified as being subject to different copyright or licensing terms.

Authors are responsible for identifying third-party materials and obtaining any permissions required for their publication and reuse.

Where third-party material is not covered by the article's CC BY-SA 4.0 license, users must obtain permission from the relevant copyright holder before using the material beyond what is otherwise permitted by law.

7. Self-Archiving

SAGA permits authors to self-archive their manuscripts. Authors may deposit the submitted version, accepted manuscript, and final published version in institutional repositories, subject repositories, personal websites, or other appropriate scholarly platforms without an embargo period.

When depositing the final published version, authors are encouraged to provide the complete citation and DOI or link to the version of record published by SAGA.
