SAGA: Journal of Technology and Information System

SAGA welcomes manuscripts from researchers, academics, practitioners, professionals, and postgraduate researchers from all geographical regions and career levels.

The journal publishes four issues annually in February, May, August, and November . SAGA has been assigned the International Standard Serial Number (ISSN) 2985-8933 .

SAGA is committed to maintaining rigorous scholarly standards, academic integrity, diversity, inclusivity, and transparent peer review.

Manuscripts are evaluated according to their originality, scientific contribution, methodological rigor, relevance, and significance to the journal's scope.

SAGA welcomes interdisciplinary research that integrates computing technologies or information systems with other academic and professional domains.

Relevant application areas may include education, healthcare, business, government, agriculture, tourism, transportation, manufacturing, smart cities, environmental sustainability, and related fields.

Such manuscripts must demonstrate a substantive contribution to computing, technology, or information systems through methodological development, system design, technological implementation, computational evaluation, or information-systems analysis.

The application domain alone does not establish suitability for publication in SAGA.

Manuscripts submitted to SAGA should clearly explain how their research contributes to at least one of the journal's core areas.

Relevant contributions may include:

• Development or improvement of computational methods, algorithms, or models;
• Design, implementation, or evaluation of software, digital platforms, or information systems;
• Empirical investigation of information-systems adoption, performance, governance, or impact;
• Evaluation or optimization of technological solutions using appropriate research methods; or
• Theoretical or methodological insights that advance knowledge in computing or information systems.

Contributions may be theoretical, empirical, methodological, or applied, provided that their relevance to the journal's disciplines is clear.

Manuscripts are generally outside SAGA's scope when their principal contribution does not relate meaningfully to computing technologies or information systems.

Examples include:

• Studies focused exclusively on management, economics, education, healthcare, or social sciences without a substantive computing or information-systems contribution;
• Research that merely uses common software, statistical packages, or online platforms as supporting tools without investigating or advancing a relevant technological or information-systems question;
• Descriptive studies of digital technology use that do not provide meaningful theoretical, empirical, methodological, or practical insights relevant to information systems;
• Research whose primary findings concern an unrelated disciplinary topic, with technology serving only as an incidental tool.

Manuscripts involving interdisciplinary applications will be assessed according to the significance of their contribution to the journal's core disciplines.
