Author Fees

Author Fees and Article Processing Charges

Apollo: Journal of Tourism and Business applies a transparent author-fee policy. Authors are not charged for manuscript submission. An Article Processing Charge (APC) is applicable only to manuscripts that have successfully completed the editorial and peer-review process and have been accepted for publication.

Article Submission Fee

Submission Fee: IDR 0 / USD 0
Authors are not required to pay any fee when submitting a manuscript to the journal.

Submission of a manuscript does not guarantee acceptance or publication. All manuscripts remain subject to editorial screening, peer review, revision requirements, and final editorial approval.

Article Processing Charge

If a manuscript is accepted for publication, the following Article Processing Charge (APC) applies:

Indonesian Authors
IDR 500,000
Applicable when the author group is classified under the journal's Indonesian-author fee category.
Non-Indonesian Authors
USD 50
Applicable when the author group is classified under the journal's international-author fee category.

The APC contributes to publication-related services such as editorial administration, manuscript handling, copyediting, layout preparation, online publication, metadata preparation, DOI-related processing, platform maintenance, and long-term availability of the published article.

When Is the APC Charged?

The Article Processing Charge is requested only after a manuscript has been formally accepted for publication.

Payment of the APC does not influence editorial assessment, peer-review outcomes, reviewer recommendations, or acceptance decisions.

Editorial Independence
Editorial decisions are based on scholarly quality, relevance to the journal's scope, methodological soundness, ethical compliance, and peer-review outcomes. The ability or obligation to pay publication charges is separate from the editorial decision-making process.

Rejected Manuscripts

Authors whose manuscripts are rejected are not required to pay an Article Processing Charge.

No publication fee is charged solely for undergoing editorial screening or peer review.

Manuscript Withdrawal and Administrative Charges

Authors who wish to withdraw a manuscript should submit a formal withdrawal request to the editorial office and provide the reason for withdrawal.

No withdrawal charge should normally apply when a manuscript is withdrawn at an early stage before substantial editorial, peer-review, or production work has been completed.

However, if an author requests withdrawal after substantial editorial or production resources have already been committed, an administrative withdrawal charge may apply to compensate for documented processing work already undertaken.

Indonesian Authors
Up to IDR 1,000,000
Non-Indonesian Authors
Up to USD 100

Any applicable withdrawal charge is intended solely to recover administrative or production costs already incurred and is not intended as a penalty for exercising a legitimate withdrawal request.

Cases involving ethical concerns, duplicate submission discovered by the authors, serious errors, or other circumstances affecting the integrity of the scholarly record may be considered separately by the editorial office.

Fee Transparency

All author charges are stated publicly on this page. The journal does not require undisclosed mandatory publication fees beyond those described in its official author-fee policy.

Authors should rely only on payment instructions issued through the journal's official editorial communication channels.
