Submission Preparation Checklist

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.
  • The submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration (or an explanation has been provided in Comments to the Editor).
  • The submission file is in OpenOffice, Microsoft Word, or RTF document file format.
  • Where available, URLs for the references have been provided.
  • The text is single-spaced; uses a 10-point font; employs italics, rather than underlining (except with URL addresses); and all illustrations, figures, and tables are placed within the text at the appropriate points, rather than at the end.
  • The text adheres to the stylistic and bibliographic requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines.

Author Guidelines

Authors are required to observe the following:

  • The manuscript must be original and must not have been previously published or simultaneously submitted to another journal.
  • The manuscript must fall within the journal's scope in tourism, hospitality, business, management, entrepreneurship, or relevant interdisciplinary fields.
  • The manuscript must be written in clear academic English and prepared using the current official Apollo article template.
  • The manuscript should normally contain at least 4,000 words in the main text.
  • The title should be concise and should normally not exceed 15 words.
  • The abstract should contain approximately 150–250 words and clearly present the purpose, method, major findings, and principal conclusion of the study.
  • Authors should provide 3–5 keywords.
  • Original research articles should normally follow the structure: Introduction – Methods – Results and Discussion – Conclusion – Declarations – References.
  • All manuscripts must include appropriate disclosure statements, including where applicable: Author Contributions, Funding, Conflict of Interest, Data Availability, Artificial Intelligence Disclosure, Research Ethics, Informed Consent, and Acknowledgments.
  • References must follow the IEEE citation style and be numbered according to the order of first citation in the manuscript.
  • Authors should provide at least 10 relevant references, with an appropriate proportion of recent primary scholarly literature.
  • All references, DOIs, quotations, data, and factual claims must be verified by the authors before submission.
  • The journal normally expects the manuscript's overall similarity score to be 15% or lower. Similarity reports are used as editorial screening indicators and are assessed contextually.
  • The journal normally expects AI-detected content to remain within its internal screening threshold of 15% or lower. AI-detection results are treated as screening indicators and not as conclusive evidence of misconduct.
  • Substantive use of generative AI or AI-assisted technologies must be disclosed in accordance with the journal's Artificial Intelligence Policy.
  • AI systems or AI-assisted technologies cannot be listed as authors or co-authors.
  • Authors must remove information that could reveal their identity from the anonymized manuscript file where required by the journal's Double-Anonymized Peer Review process.
  • Submission of a manuscript does not guarantee acceptance or publication. All manuscripts are subject to editorial screening, peer review, revision requirements, and final editorial approval.

  • The corresponding author confirms that all listed authors have approved the manuscript, agree with its submission, and accept the journal's copyright and licensing conditions.
