SEMPOA: Journal of Mathematics and Mathematics Education is a peer-reviewed scholarly journal dedicated to publishing original and significant research across the fields of pure and applied mathematics and mathematics education. The journal takes its name from the Indonesian word "Sempoa" (Abacus), representing foundational calculation, logical reasoning, accuracy, and the systematic transmission of mathematical knowledge across generations.
The journal aims to advance theoretical mathematical knowledge, promote innovative applications of mathematical concepts across various disciplines, and strengthen the teaching and learning of mathematics at different educational levels.
SEMPOA welcomes original research articles, review articles, and scholarly perspectives in areas including algebra, analysis, geometry, statistics, discrete mathematics, mathematical modelling, and mathematics education. Topics in mathematics education include curriculum development, instructional methodology, educational technology, assessment, mathematical cognition, and innovative approaches to mathematics teaching and learning. Interdisciplinary studies connecting mathematical theory with educational practice are particularly encouraged.
