About the Journal

SEMPOA: Journal of Mathematics and Mathematics Education is a leading peer-reviewed journal dedicated to publishing novel and significant research that spans the breadth of pure and applied Mathematics and the critical field of Mathematics Education. The journal takes its name from the "Sempoa" (Abacus), symbolizing its commitment to foundational calculation, clarity, and the systematic transmission of mathematical knowledge across generations.

Our mission is threefold: to advance theoretical mathematical understanding, to explore the diverse applications of mathematical concepts in various domains, and crucially, to enhance the practice, teaching, and learning of mathematics at all educational levels.

The journal welcomes submissions covering all areas of Mathematics (including Algebra, Analysis, Geometry, Statistics, and Discrete Mathematics) and Mathematics Education (including curriculum development, teaching methodologies, technological integration, assessment, and cognitive processes in learning). We encourage submissions of original research articles, review papers, and pedagogical perspectives from mathematicians, educators, and researchers globally. SEMPOA seeks interdisciplinary studies that rigorously examine the intersection of mathematical theory and effective educational practice.
