Submission and Editorial Processing

Authors are not required to pay any fee when submitting a manuscript to DEMETER.

No editorial processing, manuscript handling, peer-review, administrative, language processing, page, colour figure, or other mandatory publication-related fee is currently charged by the journal.

Article Publication Charge

DEMETER currently publishes accepted scholarly articles without charging an Article Processing Charge (APC).

• Indonesian authors: IDR 0.
• Authors outside Indonesia: USD 0.

Publication is therefore not conditional upon payment of an APC or other mandatory author charge.

Manuscript Withdrawal

DEMETER does not impose a financial penalty or withdrawal fee when an author requests withdrawal of a manuscript.

Authors who wish to withdraw a manuscript should submit a clear written request to the editorial office. The request should identify the manuscript and briefly state the reason for withdrawal.

Where a manuscript has multiple authors, the editorial office may request confirmation that all authors are aware of or agree with the withdrawal request before the manuscript is formally closed.

Withdrawal requests involving suspected duplicate submission, authorship disputes, research misconduct, or other ethical concerns may require editorial clarification before the submission record is closed. Such matters are handled under the journal's applicable Publication Ethics policies and do not result in a withdrawal charge.

Editorial Independence

The presence or absence of author fees does not influence editorial evaluation, peer review, acceptance, rejection, or any other editorial decision.

Editorial decisions are based on scholarly quality, relevance, research integrity, peer-review evidence, and compliance with journal policies.

Changes to Author Fees

If DEMETER introduces or changes any author fee in the future, the applicable amount, currency, conditions, effective date, and any relevant waiver or exemption arrangements will be clearly stated on this page before the charge applies to new submissions.

Any future fee arrangement will remain separate from editorial decision-making.
